Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture trace their origins back to ancient China. The first known written record, The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine, dates to around 2600 B.C. and forms the foundation of this profound healing tradition.

Acupuncture was introduced to the West — in America and Europe — in the early 20th century. While it was first approached with skepticism, modern research using PET and TCD imaging has shed light on the neurophysiological mechanisms that explain how acupuncture promotes healing through needle stimulation.

Acupuncture is widely used in Pain Clinics — both in Greece and internationally — for the management of acute and chronic pain. It is also applied in IVF (in vitro fertilization) clinics to support fertility and reproductive well-being.

How can acupuncture help me?
Acupuncture can support an endless range of physical and emotional conditions. It may help with fertility, incontinence, panic attacks, phobias, stress, psoriasis, obesity, and metabolic balance — among many others.

In some cases, acupuncture may be combined with other natural therapies — such as moxibustion, cupping, or herbal remedies — to enhance and accelerate the healing process.

How long does a session last?
A typical session lasts about one hour.

How often should the sessions take place?
The frequency depends on the purpose of the treatment. In the initial weeks, sessions are typically scheduled twice a week.

How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on each person, the condition being addressed, and how actively you support your own healing through lifestyle changes. In general, one treatment cycle includes around 12 sessions, followed by maintenance sessions as needed.

FIELD OF SPECIALIZATION

Psychosomatic disorders
Understanding that many illnesses arise from stress that manifests in the body, and that everyday life often becomes challenging due to both physical and emotional symptoms, I chose to specialize in this field. My intention is to help alleviate these symptoms and, whenever possible, to support the long-term release of fears and emotional blockages.

Psychosomatic conditions, phobias, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), depression, panic attacks, performance anxiety, obsessive-compulsive tendencies (OCD), restlessness, insomnia, low libido, mental fatigue, exhaustion, nervous digestion or urination issues, incontinence, and many others.

Phobias
  • Fear of enclosed spaces
  • Illness anxiety
  • Fear of flying (airplane phobia)
  • Fear of swimming in the sea (aquaphobia)
  • Agoraphobia
  • Authority-related anxiety (fear of police or public institutions)
  • Fear of darkness, the unknown, and unseen presences

Obesity management / Weight management
Feeling stuck with your weight?

No one truly wants to carry excess weight. Often, extra weight is a reflection of an inner emptiness we try to fill — or it may be related to menopause or another underlying issue. When we begin to nourish our soul with love, calmness, and a sense of safety, it becomes easier to adopt healthier eating habits, enjoy better sleep, and achieve the results we truly desire — better health, ease of movement, climbing stairs without breathlessness, and feeling comfortable in our favorite clothes again.

This is my second area of specialization and a heartfelt commitment to helping those who have long struggled with weight management. By combining my certification from the Centre for Education and Treatment of Eating Disorders and Obesity (KEADD) with acupuncture, I offer a holistic approach that supports balance, healing, and lasting change.

And if your weight seems stuck, we’ll work through it — together.
